As part of the National Eucharistic Revival, the Diocese of Camden offered a Holy Hour on Nov. 9 at The Catholic Community of Christ Our Light in Cherry Hill. During his reflection on the Eucharist, Jose Rodriguez, diocesan director of the Office of Family and Youth, reminded the multi-generational attendees that the Eucharist’s presence in one’s life is a gift from God and an opportunity to grow closer to him, if one is open. Drawing from the Liturgy of the Eucharist, Rodriguez encouraged everyone to listen to the words the celebrant says during the consecration, as too often, the faithful accept these words as habitual, when in fact, they are quite powerful. The Holy Hour, which was presided over by pastor Father John Picinic with music by Mike and Molly Bedics, was organized by the Diocese’s Secretariat for Pastoral Outreach and Secretariat for Hispanic Ministry and Evangelization.
