During Catholic Schools Week this past January, Resurrection Catholic School, Cherry Hill, students collected supplies to send to the soldiers who are serving in the New Jersey Army National Guard’s 1-150th AHB (Assault Helicopter Battalion) stationed at Lakehurst, N.J., and deployed to the Republic of Kosovo. Twenty-six boxes of supplies (shampoo, body wash, gummy bears/worms, beef jerky, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and other personal hygiene items) were sent, along with more than 200 cards made by RCS students. Resurrection Catholic School dad, Dave Long, is a member of the unit that received the donations from the RCS students and appeared on WRCS-TV March 19 via FaceTime to thank the school, on behalf of his unit. Long’s daughter, Ally, read their thank you letter to the students and interviewed her dad while a slideshow of the thankful soldiers played in the background, To check out the full interview, visit the RCS website, www.RCSCherryHill.com
