The New Jersey Catholic Young Adult Conference, with Bishop Dennis Sullivan as a special guest, will take place on Saturday, Jan. 25, at St. John Neumann Pastoral Center in Piscataway.
A collaboration between the Offices of Young Adult Ministry in the dioceses of Camden, Metuchen, Paterson, Trenton and the Archdiocese of Newark, the conference theme is “Courageous: Do Not Conform to the Standards of this Age (Romans 12:2).”
The keynote speaker will be Marcel Quinones from Covenant House in Newark. Other special guests will be Auxiliary Bishop John Flesey of Newark; Bishop David O’Connell of Trenton; and Bishop Paul Bootkoski of Metuchen.
The conference, taking place from 9 a.m.-6 p.m., is designed to provide young adults with an opportunity to experience the presence of God, grow in the knowledge of their faith, take ownership of the Gospel message, and celebrate their Catholic identity.
Workshop topics for the day include “Single? No Problem!,” “Don’t Stress, Be Blessed,” and “If Time Was God’s Currency, How Would You Spend It?” There will also be a workshop in Spanish, “¿Ahora Que?”
