Nominations sought for 2013 St. Luke Awards


In October will be the 13th annual White Mass for Healthcare workers at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center Chapel in Camden.
This Mass, co-sponsored by the South Jersey Catholic Medical Association, recognizes members of the Diocese of Camden who have been called to the medical profession as their way of sharing Jesus’ love and mercy. One of the highlights of this event is the presentation of the St. Luke Award to individuals who have upheld and promoted Catholic principles in their role as healthcare provider in this diocese.
If you know of a doctor, nurse, chaplain or other healthcare worker through work in your parish or through some work with a charitable organization who may meet this criteria and would like to nominate them to receive the St. Luke Award this year, please request a nomination form from Katherine Boyer, Diocese of Camden, Health Services Division, 1845 Haddon Avenue, Camden, New Jersey 08103 or email You must include a brief statement on how they have promoted Catholic healthcare principles in their professional and personal lives.
