Home and Parish Healthcare Services of the Camden Diocese offers this reminder: Open Enrollment for Federal Marketplace Health Insurance begins Nov. 1, 2015 and ends Jan. 31, 2016.
The Federal Healthcare Insurance Marketplace, a component of the Federal Accountable Care Act, is designed to assist people without healthcare insurance coverage to find and enroll in an insurance plan.
If you currently do not have health insurance, either through your employer, Medicare, Medicaid, New Jersey FamilyCare, your Union, your state pension plan, or through any other source, the Federal Marketplace can help you find an affordable plan that can meet your needs.
It is important to know and heed these deadlines for enrollment. Federal marketplace health insurance plans are often lower cost, provide a variety of plan options, and fulfill the federal legal mandates for individual health insurance coverage. You may also qualify for a federal tax credit or subsidy upon enrollment depending on your current income.
