lourdesstatue-webOn Wednesday, Aug. 24, structural engineers and Lourdes facilities associates worked through the night into the early morning hours to secure the Our Lady statue that rests atop Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center, Camden. Scaffolding was erected and rigging placed to ensure the security of the statue in preparation for the anticipated hurricane-like conditions set to begin on Saturday, Aug. 27. Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center has opened the front entrance to the hospital, which had been closed after the earthquake on Tuesday, Aug. 25, and caused some damage to the statue.
