A musical celebration of Irish music and Catholic education took place Dec. 6 at the TD Bank Arts Centre in Sewell as professional musicians, school children and even Bishop Dennis Sullivan took the stage to sing for some 1,800 people. Celtic Twilight Christmas featured singers Phil Coulter, Andy Cooney and Geraldine Branagan; the Irish Pops Orchestra; a children’s choir comprised of 60 students from local Catholic schools; as well as a solo by the bishop. Proceeds from the event will benefit the South Jersey Scholarship Fund, which provides financial assistance to children at Catholic schools in the Diocese of Camden.
