The Santa Maria Council #1443 of the Knights of Columbus held their 51st annual “Sisters Appreciation Night” on Feb. 24 in Haddon Township. Held to thank the religious sisters for their vocation and their dedication to the Church, this year’s gathering saw 60 religious women attend, with the farthest coming from Cape May. Chairman Anthony Albanese lauded the 20 Knights who set up, cooked, served and cleaned up after the luncheon. The event concluded with a big thank you from Sister Philomena of the Little Servant Sisters in Cherry Hill, who said, “Little acts of kindness and words of hope, along with a grand dinner, make the earth a little like the heavenly banquet.”
