
Sister Roseann Quinn, SSJ, former Bishop’s delegate of lifelong faith and spiritual formation in the Diocese of Camden, died Oct. 21. She was 83.
She entered the Sisters of Saint Joseph, Chestnut Hill, in September 1959. She professed her final vows in 1967. In addition to the Diocese of Camden, she served in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and Diocese of Wilmington, Del.
In the Diocese of Camden, she was instrumental in the diocese’s Lay Ministry Formation Program and forming partnerships with higher education entities. Under Bishop Joseph A. Galante, she helped formalize a partnership between the diocesan Office of Lifelong Faith Formation and the Villanova School of Business in providing a church management degree program for parish leaders and managers.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Catherine (nee Riley) Quinn; her brothers Leonard, James and Timothy Quinn; and her sisters Anastasia Sillett, Susan Dawson and Cathy Hazzard. She is survived by her brothers Michael, Kevin, Dennis, Philip and Sean Quinn; and her sisters Mary Ellen Brown, Regina Igo and Anne Vanneman; nieces, nephews and members of her congregation.
A visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 11 at Saint Joseph Villa in Flourtown, Pa. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. Services will be live-streamed at stjosephvilla.org.
