Maureen Kogelman, RN, BSN, LNHA, administrator at Saint Mary’s Center for Rehabilitation and HealthCare for the past 15 years, will retire Oct. 1.
Kogelman is a graduate of the Saint Agnes Nursing School, University of Saint Francis in Philadelphia. For 25 years, she has served in various leadership positions at Saint Mary’s Center (formerly Saint Mary’s Catholic Home), including as assistant director of nursing and then director of nursing before becoming administrator.
As she heads into retirement, staff praised Kogelman as a leader “who shows dedication, love and service to each of the residents as she is doing God’s work.”
Her successor, Melissa Wnuk, RN, BSN, LNHA, has worked at the institution since 1992, serving as a nurse’s aide, assistant director and, most recently, as director of nursing. She attended the Helene Fuld College of Nursing, N.Y.
Kogelman and Wnuk are both active in their parishes: Our Lady of Hope, Blackwood, and the Parish Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Lindenwold, respectively.
Well-wishers are invited to an outdoor celebration from 2 to 5 p.m. Sept. 23 at Saint Mary’s Center, 210 Saint Mary’s Drive, Cherry Hill, to thank Kogelman for her years of dedication and welcome Wnuk. The event will also include food and entertainment. To R.S.V.P. or for questions, call GretaJo Payne at 609-780-3193.
Formerly Saint Mary’s Catholic Home, and run by the Diocese of Camden, the center is now led by the Catholic Health Group.
