Father Joseph Byerley, pastor of Holy Angels Parish in Woodbury, blessed the reopened Chick-fil-A at 1480 Clements Bridge Road in Deptford on Feb. 22 just before the new owner – local Catholic Tom Henry – reopened the restaurant’s doors.

The location was closed for six months as it underwent a complete remodel, both inside and out. Henry said the new drive-through, which had been undersized for its location, has been locally renamed the Chick-fil-A 500 for the space and speed with which cars now move through the ordering line.
The Henry family are all local Catholics; their three children are graduates of Saint Michael the Archangel Regional School in Clayton and current students and graduates of Paul VI High School in Haddonfield. Henry became the newest Chick-fil-A operator in South Jersey a little over a year ago, and the entire Henry family helped with the remodel. “We hope to do great things in the community,” he said. “I’m aligning my Catholic faith values with the values of Chick-fil-A, ‘to glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us.’”
