Gloucester Catholic junior Jahzara Green scored her 1,000th career point in a 69-30 win over Haddonfield Memorial High School on Jan. 11. Green scored 24 points in the contest before exiting the game with exactly 1,000 points. After scoring 342 points during her freshman year, Green posted 537 last season as a sophomore. She became the 19th girl in school history to hit the 1,000-point milestone and the first since Azana Baines in 2019. Gloucester Catholic’s school record-holder is Lisa Cermignano (2,308), a 1993 graduate, who broke the record of Lisa Angelotti (now coach Lisa Gedaka) of 2,035, which was set in 1984.
