Juniors and seniors from Gloucester Catholic High School, Gloucester City, visited the Saint Joseph Polish Catholic Apostolate at Saint Joseph Church in Camden on Feb. 28 for their “Scoops and Saints” retreat. The group, including Father Peter Gallagher, the school’s director of Catholic Identity and host of “Scoops and Saints” on social media, was given a tour and lesson of the church. Everyone also learned about some of the 90-plus saint relics housed there. Michael Matulewicz, host of the “Pierogi to Prayer” podcast and parishioner of Camden’s Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, explained that the church was founded by Polish immigrants. Afterward, the group enjoyed the “Scoops” part of the retreat – ice cream.
