Bishop Eustace Preparatory School in Pennsauken announced it is installing a new artificial turf field at its Queen of Apostles Stadium on campus this summer.
Scheduled to be completed in July, the field will replace the existing turf field that hosts high school football, soccer, field hockey and lacrosse games.
“This state-of-the-art field will provide a high-quality playing surface for our Crusaders for years to come,” the school said in social media posts. “The new turf field is a result of a collaborative effort between the Pallottine Fathers and Brothers, Bishop Eustace Preparatory School, our alumni’s generosity, and most notably, the Stohner Family.”
The field will be named Allison Field at Queen of Apostles Stadium, in honor of Allison Stohner, who was a Cherry Hill resident and a member of the Class of 1997. Stohner, an honor student and a captain of the girls soccer team, was killed in a car accident at the age of 17.
“We believe that this project will have a positive impact on our athletes and our community while honoring the memory of Allison Stohner,” the school said in the statement.
Those interested in contributing a gift to this project can contact Bishop Eustace’s Advancement Office at advancement@eustace.org or call 856.662.2160, ext 5252.
“Allison Field is the next upgrade to our evolving campus and is a reflection of our commitment to providing top-notch facilities for our community,” the school said.
