Bishop Joseph Williams went on mission to Colombia from Jan. 22-27, meeting with several bishops and religious congregations. Joining him were Father Stephen Robbins of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Camden, and Andrés Arango, Bishop’s Delegate for Hispanic Ministry.
While in Colombia, the delegation visited the bishop of the Diocese of Armenia, and Bishop Williams presided at Mass at the Cathedral of the Diocese of Pereira.
Bishop Williams also visited Colombia’s Coffee Region in the Archdiocese of Manizales. While there, he celebrated Mass at the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary and met with the families of Father Ruben Valdes Arias, from Holy Cross Parish, Bridgeton, and Father Carlos Lopez of Saint Clare of Assisi Parish, Swedesboro.
In addition to meeting with the bishop of the Diocese of Sonsón-Rionegro, he spent time with the community of the Missionary Servants of the Divine Spirit and celebrated Mass.
