The Catholic Business Network of South Jersey (CBNSJ) will host its next networking event on Friday morning, June 13, at Saint Thomas the Apostle Church in Brigantine—with a focus on the past and the present.
This month’s featured speaker is Nick Sena, Director of Community Development and Partnerships at the Edelman Fossil Park and Museum of Rowan University. Located in Mantua, the park is a world-class destination dedicated to paleontology and environmental education. Its mission? To “discover the past, conceptualize the present, and protect the future,” Sena says.
In his talk, Sena will explore how lessons from the age of the dinosaurs can inform our understanding of today’s biodiversity and climate crises. Drawing from the park’s unique fossil-rich site—which has yielded more than 100,000 specimens across over 100 species—he will share insights into the wonder of prehistoric life and the importance of protecting the planet for generations to come.
Visitors to the Edelman Fossil Park and Museum can experience a hands-on approach to science, from bus-length mosasaurs and ancient sea turtles to bird-friendly habitat restoration and sustainable design. Sena’s presentation will connect these scientific discoveries with a broader call to stewardship—a message that aligns powerfully with the Catholic call to care for creation.
CBNSJ provides fellowship and professional development for Catholic business leaders striving to integrate faith and industry. All professionals are welcome to attend this energizing morning of worship, networking, and thought-provoking conversation.
The gathering begins with Mass at 8:30 a.m. at Saint Thomas the Apostle Church, 331 8th Street South, Brigantine. Breakfast and networking will follow at 9 a.m. in Saint Philip Hall. This month’s event is sponsored by Brindisi Builders.
