“As you prepare for the coming of Jesus this Christmas, consider an offering to the House of Charity,” said Mariann Gettings, director of the House of Charity. “Your gift can help answer the cry of those who call out from the wilds of hopelessness, struggling financially and spiritually.”
The House of Charity website link through www.camdendiocese.org accepts gifts 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Parishes are also accepting gifts. Donations paid by Dec. 31, 2009 are tax deductible to the fullest extent provided by law.
“We are only about $150,000 shy of our $7.25 million goal set to meet the minimum need budgeted for the 2009 campaign,” said Gettings. “We invite you to join with more than 25,000 other donors as Disciples on the Journey — walking the talk of living the Gospel.”
