Council 6890 Feeding Families

Council 6890 pledged $400 to the St. Michael’s food pantry.  We went food shopping for them in April with a list that they provided. We found that shopping for them helps them a great deal.  Especially, now that they are limited to only 2 volunteers due to the restrictions of Covid-19.  We felt that it was just as important to go shopping for the food pantry as it was to donate the $400 since the pantry was restricted to two volunteers. We purchased approximately $200 of food, which will provide meals for 20 families. We returned in May with another $200 in groceries.

First Responder Thank You Lunches Sponsored by Council 6890

Council 6890 expressed our appreciation to the first responders in Clayton and Franklinville, NJ.  We sponsored a lunch for the Police, Fire Department and the EMT’s in May.  This was paid for entirely with donations from our brother knights.

About Council 6890

Council #6890, chartered on March 2, 1977, embodies the Knights of Columbus principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism.  Our council members put their Faith in Action through a variety of programs and events that focus on Faith, Family, Community and Life.  Meetings are scheduled on the second and fourth Thursday of the month in the Our Lady of Hope Parish Center in Blackwood, N.J.  All Knights in good standing are welcome.  http://kofc9193.org/
