For our last podcast of 2023, we welcome in beloved and award-winning Talking Saints podcast co-host Laurie Power to discuss Advent and her newest vocation, consecrated virgin. She has now entered into a new status within the church by becoming consecrated into one of the oldest orders of the Catholic faith, which took place on November 21 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception where Bishop Dennis Sullivan celebrated the Rite of Consecration to a Life of Virginity for a Woman Living in the World. Laurie chats with Jen Mauro and Mike Walsh abut her discernment path, how this vocation differs from that of a woman religious, and what it is expected of her.
