Over the summer, the Knights of Columbus Saint Jude Council #6551 (Saint Andrew the Apostle, Gibbsboro) announced the winners of the annual Mignogna Family Memorial Scholarship. Jessica Helder, of Infant Jesus Parish, Woodbury Heights, and Paul VI High School, Haddonfield; and Mary Morrison, of Infant Jesus Parish and Gloucester Catholic High School, Gloucester City, each were awarded tuition scholarships worth $1,000.
Helder’s winning essay focused on the inspiration she receives from her grandmother, while Morrison’s essay centered on her sister’s commitment working with patients at a pediatric hospital. Each year, the council chooses two students who are currently attending a Catholic high school to receive the scholarship.
