The Division of Health Services of the Diocese of Camden concluded its intergenerational poster contest with an award ceremony last month at the Diocesan Center in Camden.
Rowan Suarez Parmer of Christ the King School in Haddonfield (pictured top left with the bishop) and Carly Zale of Pope John Paul II Regional School in Stratford (pictured bottom right with Bishop Joseph A. Galante and her grandfather) were each awarded a $200 U.S. Savings Bond as the Grand Prize winners. Prizes were also awarded to various runners up.
The poster contest was based on the theme, “My Favorite Memory of an Older Adult.” The winners were selected from a wide range of entries from first through eight graders in southern New Jersey.
“We were very pleased with the amazing artistic turnout from this contest,” said Kathy Boyer, representative for the Division of Health Services of the Diocese of Camden. “This contest was a very important effort to reinforce core Christian family values and build a broader appreciation for the roles seniors play in all of our lives.”
This contest was just one of many programs the Division of Health Services of the Diocese of Camden sponsors, aimed at promoting senior health and wellness throughout the community. For more information, visit www.camdendiocese.org
