The New Jersey Knights of Columbus received gratitude earlier this month for assisting North Carolina residents after Hurricane Helene.
Sergio Miranda, Knights State Deputy of North Carolina, shared his appreciation – and that of others – during the N.J. Knights’ mid-term District Deputy meeting in Somerset.
After the hurricane ravaged parts of North Carolina in late September, the New Jersey Knights of Columbus sent 55,000 pounds of relief supplies and $48,363 in donations to help their brother Knights and families in need.
During his visit, Miranda, accompanied by his wife, Amy, presented Raymond Sands, N.J. State Deputy, with a North Carolina state flag.
“New Jersey’s Knights have lived the dream of our founder, Father Michael J. McGivney, in stepping up when people are in need. They are selfless Catholic gentlemen who can always be counted on,” Sands said.
