It was a weekend of multiple celebrations Sept. 16-17, as Bishop Dennis Sullivan formally installed Father Jerold C. Mariastanislaus, and Father Piotr Szamocki, above, as pastors of their respective parish communities. Putting pen to paper in front of Bishop, parish staff and trustees, as well as dozens of faithful, the pastors signed their names and took oaths to lead their flocks.
At Saint Gabriel the Archangel Parish in Carneys Point, after the installation of Father Mariastanislaus, below, the Bishop blessed the parish’s grotto and its statue of Our Blessed Mother outside Corpus Christi Church.
At Marmora’s Church of the Resurrection, Saint Maximilian Kolbe Parish, below, those in the pews included a busload of parishioners from Father Szamocki’s former parish, Saint Joachim in Bellmawr, to support the priest and wish him well on his new assignment.
