
Patricia Quinter, 71, former principal of Holy Name School in Camden, died July 18.
A Philadelphia native, she was a dedicated principal and teacher in Catholic schools in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware for almost 50 years.
From 2009 to 2020, she served as principal of Camden’s Holy Name elementary school, a Catholic Partnership School.
In announcing her death, Catholic Partnership Schools remembered Quinter as “a fierce advocate for her students and their families [who] loved her students and was especially devoted to the Blessed Mother.”
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul S. Quinter and Beatrice (Flanagan) Quinter. She was the sister of Eileen (Quinter) Wittig (Brian), Father Paul S Quinter Jr. of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, Kathleen Quinter (Gregory DeFoe), the late Sergeant Theresa Quinter, Maureen Quinter (David Schuh), and Christopher Quinter (Julie). She was the devoted aunt of Brian, Kevin, Christopher Wittig, Rene (Wittig) Burns, Grace, Ryan Faith, and Ava Quinter. She was the beloved godmother for Brian Wittig, Ava Quinter, and Christine (Lavelle) Kober.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated July 24 with interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Philadelphia.
