Religious diversity

On Jan. 22 Rutgers University-Camden held a Religious Diversity Fair and Forum where students were invited to meet the chaplains, the Health Services, the Religion and Philosophy Department, and the student religious groups and leaders. Dr. John Seel, Jr. spoke on the topic “Spiritual? Yes Religious? NONE (no religious affiliation).” There are eight chaplains at Rutgers in Camden representing the following: Baptist, Catholic, humanist, Islamic, Jewish, LGBTQ affirming, Methodist, non-denominational, and Pentecostal traditions. The Catholic Campus Ministry Club provides spiritual, educational, service and social activities and programs open to all students and the liturgical services to all the campus community. Pictured are Sister Dorothy Giloley SSJ, Catholic Campus Minister, Nancy Mendoza, Vice President of the Catholic Campus Ministry Club, and TiAira Neal, Director of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and Interfaith Coordinator.
