Those wishing to learn how to assist others in living the joy of a Christ-centered life are invited to an evangelization workshop Sept. 27.
The two-hour workshop – which will run 10 a.m.-noon at Saint Joseph the Worker Parish, Haddon Township – will guide participants in how to help their family, friends and neighbors welcome Jesus into their hearts. Outreach methods, and how to avoid conversational pitfalls, also will be discussed.
“It will help attendees become comfortable and consistent in sharing Christ and inviting others into the faith,” says parishioner Sue Wheeler, who is one of the organizers for the event.
Titled “Helping Others Say Yes to Jesus,” the workshop will be presented by Deacon Anthony Cioe, who serves in Saints Peter and Paul Parish in Turnersville.
“Every one of us is called to evangelize, to speak about Jesus,” says Andrés Arango, director of evangelization for the Diocese of Camden, whose office is sponsoring the event. “The day will give people the tools to accept the call of Jesus, to bring his love and presence to all.”
“Helping Others Say Yes to Jesus” will take place at Saint Vincent Pallotti Chapel, 901 Hopkins Road, Haddon Township. The day will begin with a Mass at 8:30 a.m. and a Miraculous Medal Novena in the chapel.
Registration is required, as seating is limited. Call 856-858-1313.
