
Dr. Scott Hahn, internationally known theologian, author, public speaker and teacher, will give a talk Oct. 2 on the riches of the Catholic faith at Mantua’s Incarnation Parish.

After time as a Presbyterian minister, and years of youth and pastoral ministry experience in Protestant congregations, Dr. Hahn entered the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil in 1986. The popular Christian apologist is the bestselling author of numerous books, including “The Lamb’s Supper,” “Reasons to Believe” and “Rome Sweet Home,” which was co-authored with his wife, Kimberly.
Dr. Hahn received his bachelor of arts degree with a triple-major in theology, philosophy and economics from Grove City College, Pa., a master’s of divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and his doctorate degree in Biblical theology from Marquette University.
He is the founder and president of the Saint Paul Center for Biblical Theology, a nonprofit research and educational institute. From 2005 to 2011, Dr. Hahn held the Pope Benedict XVI Chair of Biblical Theology and Liturgical Proclamation at Saint Vincent Seminary in Latrobe, Pa. From 2014 to 2015, he served as the McEssy Distinguished Visiting Professor of Biblical Theology and the New Evangelization, University of Saint Mary of the Lake in Mundelein, Il.
