Four individuals’ were recognized for their dedication to Catholic health care Oct. 14 during the annual White Mass for Healthcare Workers in the chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center, Camden. Held near the feast of St. Luke the Evangelist, who tradition holds was a physician, the celebration honored the four with the St. Luke Award. Pictured from left are Marian Nowak, assistant professor of Public Health Nursing at LaSalle University School of Nursing; Dr. William Valentine Harrer, chair of the College of American Pathologists delegation to the American Medical Association and longtime staff member at Thomas Jefferson Hospital; Dr. Francis Lopes, longtime volunteer at St. Anthony of Padua clinic in Camden, with a family practice in Audubon; and Dr. Joseph J. Hong, a Linwood dermatologist and member of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta.
