Last week, Catholic Charities’ center in Camden got a visit from Catholic Charities USA’s Mobile Response Center (MRC) which delivered 600 boxes of sanitation supplies to help stop the spread of the coronavirus.
The MRC is used to deliver basic supplies such as hygiene products, diapers, laundry detergent, cleaning supplies and other essential items directly to struggling communities, as well as to people who are homeless or homebound without ready access to Catholic Charities facilities.
Staff and volunteers helped unload the boxes full of supplies, which staff will distribute to Catholic Charities’ centers across the Diocese of Camden, senior-living facilities, food pantries, parishes and other communities in need.
At Catholic Charities, response to the pandemic continues daily throughout the six counties of Southern New Jersey. The agency continues to meet basic needs, distribute food, find employment, assist with housing crises, provide counseling and addiction healing services, and work with vulnerable communities, especially those who have suffered from the pandemic.
