It was a weekend of healing, hope and spiritual transformation Sept. 15-17 as people from across the state and beyond attended the Camden Diocese Catholic Renewal held at Absecon’s Holy Spirit High School. Speakers including Father René Canales, Bishop’s Delegate for the Catholic Renewal; Father Franklin N. Opara, MSSCC, of Saint Gianna Beretta Molla, Northfield, and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, Galloway; Father Joseph Iannuzzi, STL, S.Th.D., of the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, and more spoke on this year’s theme of “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.” (John 1:14)
There was also time for Mass, a healing service, a Eucharistic procession with Father Cesar Pirateque Serrano of Saint John Neumann Parish, North Cape May, and praise and worship. Among those to attend was a large group from Saint Damien Parish, Ocean City, below.
