Saint Mary Church formally welcomes pastor

Parishioners, family and friends filled the pews of Saint Mary Church as Father Mike Matveenko was formally installed as pastor of the Cherry Hill church the morning of Nov. 24. “What a grace for you,” Coadjutor Bishop Joseph Williams told parishioners before the signing of the decree. “This is a man who speaks the language of the Gospel.” In addition to taking the oath of pastor and signing the official paperwork, Father Matveenko thanked parish staff and volunteers for their service.
