Sixty-seven high school students from Gloucester Catholic and Camden Catholic came together April 29 to watch “Carlo Acutis: Roadmap to Reality” at the Cinemark Somerdale movie theater. Though Blessed Carlo’s April 27 canonization was postponed due to Pope Francis’ death, the students were excited to learn more about the young man who will become the first millennial saint. “To know that a person so young, around my age, could be so immersed in his own religion and even be a saint is truly inspiring!” said Gloucester Catholic junior Mike Gedaka, who is also a Kairos leader at the school. “Knowing that someone out there looked past all the distractions life gives us and focused solely on his faith toward God really sets a new standard that I hope I may reach. Thanks to this movie, the impact of Saint Carlo lives within more people, and we as a society may now be able to grow toward God.”
