Father Richard H. Hadyka, pastor of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish, Wildwood Crest, will retire June 30.
Father Hadyka, 68, served as pastor of Assumption since 2003 and was administrator there 2001-03. Previously he was pastor of St. Mary Parish, Salem, 1994-2001.
He also has served as parochial vicar of Maris Stella Parish, Avalon, 1967; Immculate Heart of Mary, Woodlynne, 1967-71; St. Mary, Salem, 1971-73; St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, Absecon, 1982-85; St. Cecilia, Pennsauken, 1985-87; Resurrection, Marmora, 1987-93; and St. Raymond, Villas, 1993-94.
For 10 years, 1973-83, he was chaplain for Camden County institutions, Lakeland.
Born in Bayonne, N.J., Father Hadyka attended Mount St. Mary’s Seminary, Emmitsburg, Md. He was ordained May 20, 1967, in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Camden.
