Regarding your article, “Results of South Jersey faith profile,” May 4 issue:
Historically the bishops, priests and nuns of the Catholic Church have generally possessed a higher degree of education than the populace they served. This is true even with my parents’ generation in the 1950s-70s. But how does the church respond to its role as shepherd today, when the “sheep” are more educated (and informed) than ever before?
